PCL Prattcorp today released the following statement in relation to the future of Croydon Shopping Centre:

PCL Prattcorp is currently in negotiations with Haben Property Fund Pty Ltd in relation to the potential purchase of the Croydon Central Shopping Centre.

Haben Property is an Australian-owned company, which invests solely in the development and management of quality food and service based shopping centres.

Although negotiations are yet to be finalised, it is likely the centre will be sold to Haben Property in July 2015.

PCL Prattcorp has just concluded three years of extensive consultation, planning and making applications to Government to redevelop the shopping centre.

PCL Prattcorp selected Haben Property as a potential purchaser because of its expertise in shopping centres, and its plans to transform the site into one of region’s premier, convenience-based shopping centre destinations, in partnership with the shopping centre’s tenants, shoppers and the wider community. The company believes the potential new owners will turn Croydon Central Shopping Centre into a massive success.

Subject to the purchase deal proceeding, the redevelopment program is likely to commence late-2015.
